Les Miserables

Schonell Theatre- UQ

Union Road, St Lucia, Queensland, 4067, Australia

Cost: $45 adult, $35 child/concession

24601- It’s not a Brisbane postcode! Ignatians Musical Society is performing the box office smash hit Les Miserables, at the Schonell Theatre, UQ. Directed by Simone De Haas, with Musical Direction by Harmony Lentz & Edgar Chan, it includes a cast of 37 of Brisbanes finest talent.

There will be 20 performances over five weeks starting on the 18th of September. Les Misérables is the musical theatre masterpiece of our time. Based on the classic French novel of the same name by Victor Hugo, Les Misérables was first staged in 1985.

An emotionally powerful piece with superbly crafted music and lyrics, Les Misérables has something for everyone: drama; romance; action; treachery; humour and a stunning visual presence.

A musical phenomenon wherever and whenever it is performed, Les Misérables has broken box office records around the world and has been hailed as the show responsible for bringing an entire generation back to music theatre.

Ignatians last performed Les Miserables in 2005 with a sold out season. We expect the same in 2009! With adult tickets at $45 and children/concession at $35, it’s truely a fantastic opportunity to enjoy high-quality produced theatre at a not so professional price!

Please phone (07) 3371 2751 to book your tickets or email: bookings@ignatians.com.au to arrange a booking.
